Clean, safe, and ready

We are here for our community. We are here for you. Below are our commonly answered questions about our company-wide protocols. Please contact us personally if you have additional questions.

Should I wear a face mask to physical therapy?

Masks are optional for patients and guests, so please do what makes you feel most comfortable. Masks are required of all associates in our PT clinics.

How are you practicing social-distancing recommendations in the clinic?

We strategically utilize treatment rooms and common areas to increase spacing between patients. We ask that only essential caregivers accompany patients to their treatment sessions. We continue to practice hands-on care and ensure it meets the recommended guidelines.

Should I cancel my appointment?

We ask that you call the physical therapy clinic and temporarily switch to telehealth visits if you have:

  • Been diagnosed with COVID or are awaiting test results
If unvaccinated and have been in contact with someone diagnosed with COVID
  • Experiencing any symptoms of COVID (examples: shortness of breath, cough, loss of taste or smell, severe headache, sore throat, extreme fatigue, body aches, chest congestion, diarrhea, fever)
  • Been recommended to quarantine by a healthcare professional

If none of these apply to your situation, you are welcome to continue your in person physical therapy in our clean and safe clinics!

Can I postpone my treatment plan?

You are welcome to postpone your physical therapy treatment plan, but doing so may cause setbacks in your progress; we recommend you transition to telehealth visits instead. Please call the clinic to discuss if telehealth is the right fit for continuing your plan of care.

When can I return to in person physical therapy?

You are welcome to return to in person physical therapy when you meet the quarantine and symptom resolution guidelines below.

  • Positive COVID test: return on the 6th day after symptom onset or positive COVID test (whichever is earlier). You must be showing significant improvement in your symptoms and be fever free for 24 hours without symptom reducing medication.
  • Exposed to COVID:
    • If Vaccinated (within six months of initial vaccination series or boosted) and asymptomatic.
    • If Unvaccinated and able to isolate from the COVID, positive person
      • Can return to in person treatment on the 6th day if asymptomatic
    • If Unvaccinated and unable to isolate from the COVID positive person
      • Can return to in person therapy on the 11th day if asymptomatic
  • You had symptoms of COVID: You must be showing significant improvement in your symptoms and be fever free for 24 hours without symptom reducing medication.
